I can’t seem to find a way to change to an alternate package for a part already placed on the schematics. The closest I got was to select the part on the schematics, then “Show in part browser”. I then selected an alternate package but after clicking “Assign”, I still had the old package on the schematics.
You can change them in the board editor.
